Thank you for sharing the real, unvarnished side of your first year of self-employment. It's equal parts inspiring and grounding.
You know I see the courage in your story, and did before I read this even, and Iโm grateful youโre choosing to share the lessons as you live them. Canโt wait to see where year 2 takes you ๐ Maybe back to Mehico?
Thank you for being good company on the journey thus far, Nadine.
It did take a lot of courage. It also felt like I didn't have a choice much of the time, which is honestly why we fall into these types of things in the first place - then work backwards to rationalize an intentional movement forward.
I'm curious to see too. Who knows! Portugal has been interesting to me. Planning a trip at the end of June, so stay tuned on some musings and pics about that exploration.
It doesn't really matter in the end, if you can find a logical reason to have done it later, then it probably did make sense to your intuition at the time ๐ซก
Really enjoyed this, JJ. Having worked in corporate, sales, and started three businesses, I relate to all of what you wrote. It's affirming and confirming. My favorite line was this: "Thereโs a makeshift spirit here that I both love and hate depending on my mood." Ah, the honesty.
I'm glad it resonated, Ryan. Thank you for reading and enjoying.
Berlin, like any other city, is simply a mirror for all the crap I'm either looking at or avoiding in a given moment. It's also a portal to the beauty that's always present. A worthy dance partner.
This is as much a placeholder for more later, but I didnโt want to miss the chance at being front of line to tell you this is great. I love a personal story. So does everyone else, so Iโm told.
Loved this piece JJ. Itโs vulnerable and beautiful! I wish you continued growth and realizations in this journey. Canโt wait to read more.
Thank you, friend. Wishing the same for you.

It's the level of honesty we don't see often, these days. It's normally much more "cultivated".
Exactly. ;)
What a journey! Cheering you on, my friend.
I appreciate all of your support along the way, friend :)

Yeah, I hear that too. Thanks, brother. It means a lot to me. You've been such an important part of the ride.
