💙 Dispatch #12: Berlin
Home.
Yesterday, I received a visa to stay in Germany for three years.
I’m celebrating with a poem.
Here you go.
She beckons, you know. Arms outstretched, like cracks in the concrete - pulling down into the shadows of her streets. A wall ripples through the pavement, decades of division dashed to dust. This is a place of destruction. The creative cauldron, the fires that burn from the inside out. A phoenix, of ashes. Unkempt vines crawl the walls. The cackle of doves, echoing. A tattered man in sleeveless leather, sleeping under invisible stars. She beckons, you know. She whispers. She sings - “I will teach you to feel again.”

Here’s to finding many reasons to love and respect this place even more. ✨Congratulations 🎉
I hope Berlin teaches us all to feel 🙏🏼
Well done JJ! A new, less paperworky, phase of life!
